CAMP NO-BE-BO-SCO - Hardwick, NJ

Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco, Hardwick, NJ 


A 90 minute drive from the Newark International Airport is Hardwick, NJ, which is tucked away in the hills of northwestern New Jersey.  There, set on 380 acres in the  Kittatinny Mountains is CAMP NO-BE-BO-SCO!
  • In operation since 1927!
  • SIX weeks of traditional Boy Scout Summer Camp in 2017. 
  • 50+ merit badges in their traditional camp program; five merit badge sessions per day.

  • First year program is the First Class Adventure.  Trail to Eagle Program also available.

About a 2 hour drive outside of Atlanta (Blairsville, GA), in the North Georgia Mountains, you will find the Woodruff Scout camp!

RANCHO ALEGRE - Santa Barbara, CA; Los Padres Council


About 20 miles outside of Santa Barbara, CA, you will find the Boy Scout Advancement Camp at Rancho Alegre!

GOSHEN SCOUT RESERVATION - Goshen, VA; National Capital Area Council - THREE CAMPS IN ONE!

About 3 hours SW of Washington, DC (Goshen, VA)in the Allegheny Mountains, you will find the Goshen Scout Reservation!  


The Goshen Scout Reservation is home to not one, not two, but THREE resident Boy Scout camps (Camp Bowman, Camp Marriott and Camp Olmsted) and TWO resident Webelos camps (Camp Ross and Camp PMI) located around the 450 acre Lake Merriwether!  This is in addition to Lenhok'sin High Adventure area which offers themed treks of four or seven days (with seven different outpost to choose from) and claims to be the best High Adventure Trek program this side of Philmont!


There are variations of first year camper themed programs at all three camps.  Kayaking is available at all three camps.  All camps offer 40+ MBs.  COPE and climbing programs are also available at all three camps.  Food service can be patrol method cooking at your campsite or full food service dining hall style.  Older scouts can also participate in the X-Pride program, the Eagle's Eyrie program (high adventure and Eagle required MBs) or the new scout ATV Program!  Some of the trek themes offered are mountain biking, rock climbing, kayaking, civil war history and mountain man!  Get a glimpse of what is offered Goshen Promo Video and Lenhok'sin High Adventure Promo Video.  Leader's Guide provides further insight into the the doings at Goshen.

CAMP DAVY CROCKETT - WHITESBURGS, TN

About 1 hour outside of Knoxville, TN (Whitesburgs, TN), you will find Camp Davy Crockett (www.scbsa.org)!

Camp offers 40+ merit badges in their traditional camp program; six merit badge sessions per day.  First year program is covers Tenderfoot to First Class, older scouts can try out the Frontier program (live the life of a young Davy Crockett, along with 10 merit badge opportunities) or the Trailblazer High Adventure program (COPE, Kayaking, Climbing, Mountain biking).  2012 Leader Guide lays out in great detail available camp opportunities; promo video also available!

RAINBOW SCOUT RESERVATION, Morris, IL

About 60 miles SW of Chicago (Morris, IL), you will find the Rainbow Scout Reservation (www.rsrcamp.org, @RSRSummerCamp on Twitter). Camp, with over 40 years of experience, boast 50+ merit badges in their traditional camp program. First year program is Pathfinders, older scouts can try out the Eagle Quest program (2 days of Eagle MBs followed by 3 day off camp trek) or the Outpost program (COPE, Aqua Blue Aquatics, backcountry camping, hiking).
